Project Description
The project consists of the design, construction and operation of a rural electricity distribution system to connect and supply electricity to customers in 298 rural villages, by either extending a grid network or by installing solar kits.
Further, the project will execute two multisegment energy programmes, comprising electrification of two new milk collection centres, with cold storage facilities; and the electrification of 28 health centres, some of which will be grid-connected, with the balance receiving solar installations.
The grid connection will feature an estimated 331 km of 30-kV distribution lines, 393 km of 220-V/380-V distribution lines and 143 transformers, which will supply 156 villages.
The project will install 1 429 x 50 Wp solar kits, 2 860 x 90 Wp solar kits, and 1 430 Wp solar kits with a 180 Wp, which will supply 142 villages.
