PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Junior Rumble Resources has increased the landholding at its Western Queen gold project, in Western Australia, by 500% after securing two strategic tenement applications.

Rumble told shareholders that the newly secured tenement applications contain the highly prospective contiguous north and south mineralised shear zone extensions of the Western Queen main project area, expanding the strike by over 500% to 35 km, and covering the entire Warda Warra Greenstone belt.

The tenements are prospective for high-grade deposits similar to the Western Queen Central openpit mine, which produced some 189 500 oz of gold, MD Shane Sikora said on Thursday.

Rumble secured the applications from an unrelated vendor for A$150 000, consisting of A$50 000 in cash and a further 755 199 fully paid ordinary shares. The shares will be issued without shareholder approval.

The company is currently completing a 12 000 m drill programme at the main Western Queen project area, targeting high-grade resource extensions at depth at the Western Queen Central deposit, as well as multiple high-grade gold shoots along the Western Queen shear zone.
