South African solar and backup energy solutions provider Rubicon has announced a partnership with Italian energy storage business WeCo Batteries.

Under this partnership, Rubicon and WeCo Batteries will deliver energy systems for residential and commercial applications in South Africa.

This agreement encompasses a range of WeCo Batteries’ products, including an energy storage solution known for its dual-voltage capabilities, making it adaptable for a wide range of applications; a rack-module high-voltage battery system designed for commercial and industrial use; and the new HYBO range of commercial ESS inverters.

"We are excited to partner with Rubicon in bringing our advanced energy storage solutions to the South African market,” says WeCo Batteries chief technology officer Lorenzo Fagiuoli.

“Rubicon's dedication to quality and innovation aligns perfectly with WeCo Batteries' mission to provide clean and efficient energy solutions worldwide."
