ExxonMobilís Rotterdam refinery has a throughput of 190 000 bbl/d.
The project involves the expansion of the hydrocracker unit at ExxonMobil’s Rotterdam refinery to upgrade heavier products into cleaner, higher-value finished products, including EHC Group II base stocks and ultralow sulphur diesel to meet growing global demand.
Base stocks are the primary ingredients used in the production of high-quality lubricating oils and greases. The higher-performing Group II base stocks result in advantages in many lubricant and process oil applications.
