Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 3.3 km dual carriageway arterial road, including four associated ramps 4 km long.
The scope of work includes two 14.5-m-wide four-span bridges over the National Route 2 (N2); one 35-m-wide two-span bridge over the Cyclopia wetland; two 14.5-m-wide three-span bridges over the Baakens river; and one major culvert.
When completed, the interchange will provide access from the N2 to the new Bay West Mall, which is being constructed in the western suburbs of Port Elizabeth.

R240-million.

The project started in October and is expected to take 22 months to complete.
