PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Copper miner Hillgrove Resources has reported record production during the second quarter ended July from its Kanmantoo operation, in South Australia.

The mine delivered 5 884 t of copper-in-concentrate during the quarter under review, which was at the upper end of the guidance, and above guidance on a year-to-date basis.

The second-quarter output compared with 5 554 t of copper-in-concentrate produced during the first quarter ended April.

Revenue generated from the concentrate sales reached A$46.9-million during the quarter, with the average realised price for copper reaching A$3.74/lb. C1 costs for the quarter came to $1.94/lb, which was also at the lower end of the guidance.

Hillgrove reported that the Kanmantoo mine continued to operate according to guidance.

For the full year, the project was expected to deliver between 20 500 t and 22 500 t of copper-in-concentrate, and between 6 000 oz and 7 800 oz of gold-in-concentrate.

C1 cash costs for the project were expected to be between $2/lb and $2.20/lb.
