Project Description
The Rapasaari mine comprises openpit and, at a later stage, underground mining.

In addition to ore extraction, mining activities will include the extraction and stockpiling of waste rock, as well as the treatment and discharge of water from the area.

The Rapasaari deposit contains total mineral resources of 9.64-million tonnes, with an average lithium oxide grade of 0.98%.

Keliber submitted applications to the Regional State Administrative Agency for Western and Inland Finland in June 2021 for environmental and water management permits for the Rapasaari mine and the Päiväneva concentrator.
