Range of heavy-duty connectors available
A range of heavy-duty connectors is now available to customers across Southern Africa.
The portfolio includes industrial connectors, including multipole connectors, inserts, aluminium enclosures and more than 6 000 complementary products.
The multipole connectors are part of the Molex GWConnect range and are designed and developed for heavy-duty industrial applications. They are suitable for use with alternate or direct current and can be used to facilitate the manufacturing, installation and maintenance of sectional electrical parts in complex electrical and electronic machinery. The connectors are also used in robots, electric panels, control equipment as well as power, control and signal circuit connectivity.
The units are available in 2.5 mm², 6 mm² and 16 mm² and in 10 A,16 A, 35 A and 80 A ranges, in various combinations of power and control connectors.
The main parts of the enclosures are manufactured either from die-cast aluminium alloy with a polyester powder, or nickel-plated for electromagnetic-compatible versions, or a self-extinguishing thermoplastic finish.
Different locking systems that encompass galvanised steel or stainless steel monoblock levers as well as stainless steel springs and pegs, aim to improve coupling stability and protection against accidental opening.
Special gaskets seal and protect the insert inside the enclosures against dust, water and other aggressive agents.
Powermite, part of the Hudaco group, supplies and distributes The Molex GWConnect heavy duty connector portfolio, suitable for a range of heavy-duty industrial control and power applications found in test bays as well as in the food and beverage and medical sectors.
Powermite technicians are trained to ensure that customers are offered the correct Molex products, according to specific application requirements and that the products are used correctly for optimum performance, safety and extended life cycle.
