Rand Water appoints new board
Water utility Rand Water has appointed a new board, which is gender balanced and comprises of individuals who collectively possess science, engineering, governance, accounting and finance competencies.
The newly appointed board members are Ramateu Monyokolo, Malande Thonjeni, Simphiwe Khondlo, Luvuyo Ntoyi, Anthony Mhlongo, Lethabo Mashamaite, Boitumelo Mahuma-Madida, Solomon Mngomezulu, Gcinumzi Qotywa, Zanele Monnakgotla, Dr Nomsa Qunta and Clarinda Simpson.
Monyokolo, who has expertise in governance, audit and risk oversight, will serve as chairperson, while the deputy chairperson Thonjeni has expertise in audit, finance and accounting.
Rand Water is an entity that is performing well, and the Department of Water and Sanitation wishes the board members well in the execution of their duties to continue to serve the citizens of the country.
The term of office of the previous board came to an end on September 19.
