Rambler Metals and Mining delivers record Q4 output
JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Dual-listed copper producer Rambler Metals and Mining produced a record 5 244 t of copper concentrate, 1 297 oz of gold and 9 873 oz of silver in the fourth quarter of its 2013 financial year.
Copper concentrate production for the three months ended July was 15% higher than the 4 575 t produced in the prior quarter, while gold and silver output were up 31% each quarter-on-quarter.
This brought total output for the company’s first nine months of commercial production to 13 802 t of copper concentrate, 3 137 oz of gold and 23 958 oz of silver.
Rambler produced 1 574 t of copper in the quarter ended July, bringing total copper output for the nine months to 3 953 t.
“We are very pleased to see record tonnage and metal produced, while head grades and recoveries moved above planned targets. The continuing improvements at the Ming copper/gold mine reflect our focused approach to growing our operations and delivering growth.
“The fourth-quarter results leave us well-placed for meeting our formal fiscal 2014 guidance and we will continue to focus on operational performance to ensure these levels can be maintained,” commented president and CEO George Ogilvie.
Rambler expects to produce between 5 700 t and 6 840 t of copper, between 4 500 oz and 5 500 oz of gold and between 32 000 oz and 39 000 oz of silver in the 2014 financial year.
