Project Description
The project is part of a broader project to modernise the highway, also known as the Ragusana, between the municipalities of Ragusa and Chiaramonte Gulfi, in Ragusa province.

The contract will involve the expansion and upgrade of an 18 km section of the Ragusa-Catania highway. It includes the construction of a viaduct that is more than 500 m long, six overpasses and three underpasses.

The highway will eventually expand from a two-lane route to a highway with two lanes in either direction and emergency lanes.

Potential Job Creation
The contract is expected to create up to 300 direct
and indirect jobs.

Capital Expenditure
The contract is valued at €208-million.

Planned Start/End Date
Work will start in 2023.
