Project Description
The project involves the supply of an LNG receiving terminal.
The scope includes two LNG vacuum-insulated storage tanks, with a combined volume of 1 400 m3, an LNG regasification system, truck-loading and unloading functions, and all required civil structures.
The main user of the natural gas will be the SSAB Raahe steel mill, which will use LNG to generate power and heat, and enable SSAB to progress to clean energy production. As a result of switching to LNG, the steel mill will significantly reduce its carbon dioxide, nitrogen and sulphur oxide footprint.
