R317 road rehabilitation project.

Western Cape Department of Transport and Public Works.

Project Description
The project entails the rehabilitation of 13 km of the R317 between Robertson and Bonnievale.
The road and the Cogmanskloof bridge will also be widened.
Other work under way includes the rebuilding and replacement of culverts, the reconstruction of 5 km of road through the centre of Bonnievale and the installation of sewer and water services.

Jobs to Be Created
To date, 248 local persons have been employed. In addition, 85 employed local persons are benefiting from on-site technical skills training.

The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-2018.
