The project involves the resurfacing of the R27 between Milnerton and Melkbosstrand.

Value
R71-million.

Duration
The project started in April 2015 and is scheduled for completion in early 2016.

Latest Developments
Edge-break repairs and the supplementation of gravel shoulders between the Melkbosstrand and Tryall road intersections have been completed.

The milling and backfilling of patches for base repairs on the southbound carriageway between the Tryall and Racecourse road intersections have been completed.

The resurfacing of the southbound carriageway between Marine drive and Bay Beach avenue has started on the approach to the Blaauwberg road intersection on the southbound carriageway. Various maintenance and repair works will continue on the sides and shoulders of the road. Mole barriers are being installed in the vicinity of the Marine drive intersection.
