Hertwich- SMS Group  (0.04 MB)

Profile manufacturer Purso Oy, Finland, has placed an order with Hertwich Engineering www.hertwich.com , Austria, for the supply and commissioning of a billet homogenizing plant.

The continuous homogenizing line replaces separately operated batch homogenizing and sawing plants. The automated plant requires less operating personnel. Moreover, energy savings of about 20 percent are achievable. The improved billet homogenizing quality ensures more efficient and faster extrusion. Annual capacity is 20,000 tons of billets with diameters ranging from 203 to 228 millimeters, which are processed at the in-house extrusion plant. The scope of supply includes a continuous homogenizing furnace, cooling station, ultrasonic testing unit as well as sawing and packing equipment.
