Project Description
The PWEP IV is the final stage of Pacific Hydro’s 179 MW PWEP and covers two sites – Cape Nelson North and Cape Sir William Grant.

The first stage (PWEP I) involved the construction of a 30 MW wind farm, at Yambuk; PWEP II involved the construction of a 58 MW wind farm, at Cape Bridgewater; and PWEP III involved the construction of a 44 MW wind farm, at Cape Nelson South.

PWEP IV includes 23 REpower turbines – 11 at Cape Nelson and 12 at Cape Sir William Grant – with a combined capacity of 47 MW, which will provide positive benefits that include generating an estimated 151 GWh/y of clean energy or enough power for the equivalent needs of about 31 000 Victorian homes and local job opportunities.
