The range of industrial plant and equipment available for hire has been significantly increased with the expansion of Steinmüller Africa’s Middelburg depot in Mpumalanga.

The company is a manufacturer and provider of solutions, products and services throughout the lifecycle of plants in the power and process industries. It now offers over 24 000 items, including cranes ranging from 5 t to 400 t, trailers, tractors, welding machines, generators, rigging, and grinding and drilling equipment.

Steinmüller Africa’s Middelburg depot serves clients in the power generation, petrochemical, chemical, mining, renewable energy, pulp and paper, construction, and general industrial sectors.

“With our hire solutions, clients can get their projects up and running quicker while mitigating equipment ownership costs,” said Steinmüller Africa corporate communications specialist Mpho Muvhango.

Muvhango says that the company has simplified its equipment hire process, with equipment hire agreements tailor-made to client’s requirements, subject to availability. The equipment complies with recognised safety standards and is issued with safety certificates. The company also has a dedicated lifting machine inspector, to help ensure quality control.

Steinmüller Africa offers clients advice on equipment selection, assesses projects and provides a comprehensive and optimised solution, she said. In addition to the planning of, and maintenance and repair of complete power generation plants, the company also designs and manufactures power plant components, at its workshop in Pretoria.
