ASX-listed Perseus Mining has increased its shareholding in fellow-listed Predictive Discovery to 19.9%.

This follows the company in August acquiring an interest of 13.8% of the issued shares of Predictive as a strategic equity investment.

The company has advised that it has no intention of acquiring control of, or making a takeover offer, for Predictive.

Predictive’s key asset is the Bankan gold project in Guinea, which has a probable ore reserve of 57-million tonnes grading 1.64 g/t gold – containing three-million ounces of gold.

In turn, Perseus operates three gold mines in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, as well as has more gold projects in development in Tanzania and Sudan.
