Nasdaq- and TSX-listed Perpetua Resources says underwriters have fully exercised their option to purchase an additional 3.69-million common shares, generating about $49-million in gross proceeds.

The exercise follows the company’s upsized $325-million public offering and $100-million private placement to Paulson & Co, bringing total gross proceeds to about $474-million.

The option was exercised by National Bank of Canada Financial Markets and BMO Capital Markets, joint bookrunners on the deal. The offering, priced at $13.20 a share, included the issuance of 24.6-million shares to the public, alongside the private placement of 7.6-million shares to Paulson & Co.

Proceeds from the equity raise will be used to fund the development of Perpetua’s Stibnite gold and antimony project in Idaho.
