Origo Africa, a leading African facilities maintenance company, is pleased to announce a reseller agreement with global technology company, Techniche.  Origo Africa will market, sell, and distribute Techniche cloud-based computerised maintenance management software (CMMS) and associated professional services to fuel retailers and convenience store operators in the South African Development Community (SADC) member states under an exclusive regional reseller agreement.

Origo Africa, a level 2 BBBEE contributor, including 78% black ownership and 36% black female ownership, was incorporated in 2020 with a mission to transform facility and asset maintenance in the region through digital and engineering excellence.

Techniche has been at the forefront of managing business-critical assets for fuel retailers for more than 20 years. The Techniche maintenance management platform, Urgent, is the only complete CMMS designed for, and used by, major fuel and convenience retailers. It is currently in use at over 40,000 locations across 34 different countries by global retailers including BP, Q8, and Shell.

“Techniche software will help fuel retailers, convenience store operators and other franchise networks on the African continent reduce maintenance cost and complexity, optimise asset performance and provide the insights our clients need to deliver a breakthrough and sustainable customer experience,” said Origo Africa Managing Director Shane Petersen. “We are excited to bring Techniche’s industry experience and market-leading technology to our customer community.”

“Techniche is excited to partner with Origo Africa. With several major fuel retailers operating in the region, along with a larger untapped market, we see SADC and the wider African continent as an important growth opportunity,” said Karl Jacoby, Techniche Chairman and CEO. “We look forward to working with the Origo Africa team to ensure a successful partnership.”
