Project Description
BHP proposes to develop and operate the Orebody 32 above water-table iron-ore mine at its Eastern Ridge hub, which also includes the approved Orebody 24 and Orebody 25 mines.
The proposed mine will have a mining rate of five-million tonnes a year and will include conventional openpits above the water table and infrastructure, including overburden storage areas and a haul road.
The mined ore will be transported to existing processing facilities at BHP’s adjacent Orebody 24 and Orebody 25 mines.
