Name of the project and location
Open-cycle aero-derivative gas-turbine plant (OCGT), Namibia

Project description
The Namibia Power Corporation has invited experienced suppliers to submit proposals for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of one OCGT plant. The plant has to support the Namibian system during peak times only and will be fired by diesel fuel.

All components and subsystems will be required to be carefully selected and optimised to form a compact and complete outdoor plant, housed within enclosures, and designed to comply with environmental requirements. Special consideration is to be given to an environment exposed to heavy marine pollution. The package must allow for quick installation and ease of maintenance.

Key requirements to be submitted during the expression of interest phase will include: a net capacity of between 22 MW-ISO to 27 MW-ISO, a net LHV-efficiency above 35%-ISO and a generator if 11 kV, 50 Hz.
