The project involves the construction of Oman’s first sugar refinery.

The proposed refinery will have 700 000 t capacity in the first phase, and increase to one-million tonnes in the second phase.

The refinery will use state-of-the-art technology to produce high-quality refined sugar.

Value
$200-million.

Duration
The refinery is expected to be completed towards the end of 2015.
