Project Description
Olaroz is a brine-based lithium facility and produces high-quality lithium carbonate chemicals for the battery, technical and chemical markets.

The project is based on a proposed Stage 1 and Stage 2 operation producing 42 500 t/y of lithium carbonate equivalent over to a mine life of more than 40 years.

Stage 1 of the Olaroz project is the original project, and has a maximum production capacity of 17 500 t/y of lithium carbonate.

Stage 2 is targeting an additional 25 000 t/y of lithium carbonate.

The project has a pretax net present value, at a 10% discount rate, of $7.01-billion.
