Project Description
The project aims to equip the entire Oise department, in northern France, with a 100% fibre-optic network, delivering broadband to domestic subscribers using the Fibre to the Home (FTTH) technology.

The plan is to install 10 000 km of optical fibre and 278 000 FTTH sockets in the Oise department in less than ten years.

The project will be completed in two phases, with priority being given to towns and villages whose current broadband Internet access is low. Phase 1 will entail the installation of 136 000 FTTH sockets.

Phase 1 of the project will cost €97-million.

Duration
The project is expected to take less than ten years to complete.

Latest Developments
The project has started in the 21 towns and villages that will constitute the first year of deployment, with the installation of about 14 000 sockets targeted by the end of 2014.

Bouygues Energies & Services and its subsidiary Axione, in partnership with Sobeca, have been chosen to implement the first phase of the project.
