Project Description
The project involves the construction a new oil terminal to replace the existing 50-year-old existing Kipevu oil terminal, which is decaying. The existing terminal has only one berth, accommodating carriers of up to 100 000 deadweight tons (DWT). The new terminal will accommodate four ships of 150 000 DWT.
Value
The project is estimated at $120-million.
Duration
The new terminal is expected to be ready for operation in 2017.
