Project Description
The NSC pipeline will transport water 360 km south to the capital city of Gaborone.
Phase 1 of the NSC pipeline project was completed in 2000.
Phase 2 has been divided into smaller components, NSC 2A, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3, which will duplicate the pipeline to transport water from the newly constructed 400-million-cubic-metre Dikgatlhong dam, which was completed in 2012.
NSC 2A involves the connection from Dikgatlhong to Moralane, Phase 2.1 entails the connection from Moralane to Palapye, Phase 2.2 the connection of pipelines from Palapye to Gaborone and Phase 2.3 will provide an interlink from Gaborone to Mmamashia.

The Phase 2 project is expected to be completed in 2019.
