State minerals research organisation Mintek is sponsoring the seventh international symposium on macro- and supramolecular architecture and materials (MAM-14), which will take place in South Africa in November.

The nanotechnology conference, a first for Africa, will provide a venue for entrepreneurs and venture capitalists to discuss collaborative research and business developments.

Experts

International experts from more than 40 countries will take part, along with three Mintek-sponsored Nobel laureates in professors Dan Shechtman, Robert Huber and Klaus von Klitzing.

Engineers attending the MAM-14 at Emperors Palace, in Boksburg, from November 24 to 27, qualify for five continuing professional development credits.

Abstract submission closes on August 31. Enquiries can be made to Dr Jessie Pillay of Mintek at (011) 709 4178 or email jessiep@mintek.co.za.
