Nexus raises A$17m for gold hunt
PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold explorer Nexus Minerals will raise A$19-million in a share placement to ramp up drilling activities at its Crusader-Templar prospect, at the Wallbrook gold project, in Western Australia.
The company on Monday announced that it had received commitments for the placement of 41.3-million shares, at a price of 46c each from professional, sophisticated and institutional investors.
The shares would be placed in a single tranche under the company’s existing placement capacity, and would not require shareholder approval.
“The proceeds from the placement will allow Nexus to expedite and ramp up exploration programmes at the Wallbrook gold project, where the company has been having exploration success at the Crusader-Templar prospect in recent drill programmes,” said Nexus MD Andy Tudor.
“To have achieved such a strong level of institutional and sophisticated investor support for the placement was very encouraging and a strong endorsement of the company’s endeavours.”
