Daimler Truck Southern Africa (DTSA) has appointed Mpho Matseba as the new head of Fuso Trucks Southern Africa.

Matseba steps up from her role as head of Fuso sales, a position she held from August, 2024. She has been with Fuso and DTSA for 21 years.

In her new role, Matseba will assume responsibility for leading the local Fuso Trucks division, which will remain under the DTSA umbrella.

Her scope includes overall strategy, sales and marketing operations, customer experience, parts and aftersales support and supply-chain management.

Matseba’s appointment comes at a time of rapid change within the global truck industry.

As from April, Daimler Truck and Toyota Motor Corporation will merge their Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation and Hino Motors subsidiaries under a newly established holding company called the Archion group.

Despite this global development, Fuso in South Africa will remain part of DTSA, with no changes to local operations, dealer networks or aftersales support.

This means that business will continue as usual in South Africa, as well as in the cross-border markets.

“Fuso remains a key part of DTSA, and our commitment to our customers in Southern Africa remains unwavering,” says Matseba.
