The project will result in the construction of an additional furnace at Nampak’s glass bottle business at Roodekop, in Germiston.
In addition to the facility’s two furnaces, a third furnace will improve overall manufacturing efficiencies and enable it to supply a wider range of bottles.

The project entails an investment of R1-billion.
Duration
The project is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2013.
Latest Developments
The construction contract has been awarded to German glass-melting specialist Horn Glass, of which the Dickinson Group is a local partner and agent for sub-Saharan Africa.
