BP is the operator of Na Kika and holds a 50% working interest, with Shell holding the remaining 50% stake.

Project Description
The Na Kika semisubmersible platform is located about 167 km south-east of New Orleans, in more than 1 828 m of water. Production from Na Kika began in 2003.

Phase 3 includes the drilling and completion of two new wells – Ariel-5 and Kepler-4, the addition of subsea infrastructure to tie back to the Na Kika platform, and new equipment to allow for increased production from an existing well at the site. It will use available production capacity at the Na Kika hub. The subsea scope includes an additional manifold to allow for incremental production from the Fourier-4 well, a new umbilical, trees and jumpers.
