Project Description
The Mt Webber JV DSO project, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, is situated on a mining tenement that is majority owned by and managed by Atlas, with Altura owning the remaining interest. Atlas also wholly owns the adjoining mining tenement and will mine both tenements concurrently.

Envisaged is a mining project producing three-million tonnes a year of DSO material.

A$146-million.

Duration
Mining operations are expected to start in December, with exports expected in mid-2014.

Latest Developments
Construction of the mine has been approved by the Atlas board, following the conclusion of an agreement with JV partner Altura.

Further, the JV has announced an increase in the Joint Ore Reserves Committee- (Jorc-) compliant ore reserve estimates at the Mt Webber JV DSO project.

The Jorc-compliant ore reserve estimate of 33.9-million tonnes at 56.8% iron was compiled by Atlas and represents a 14% increase from the previous estimate.
