Murray & Roberts (M&R) Holdings has announced the resignation of Daniel Grobler as a director, with effect from November 11. His resignation follows the announcement last month that the Gauteng Division of the High Court of South Africa had granted a final order for the liquidation of M&R Holdings.

"The company would like to thank Mr Grobler for his service under exceptionally challenging circumstances and wishes him well in his future endeavours," the company states.

M&R Holdings points out that, as previously reported to the market, Theo van den Heever has been appointed as the provisional liquidator of M&R Holdings.

It also reminds shareholders that the final winding up order pertains solely to M&R Holdings, the listed entity, and does not impact its downstream subsidiary M&R Limited, which is a separate legal entity currently under business rescue. The business rescue proceedings in respect of M&R Limited remain ongoing.
