Mpumalanga routine road maintenance (RRM) projects.

Mpumalanga, South Africa.

South African National Roads Agency (Sanral).

Project Description
There are currently ten RRM projects servicing the province.

The projects include:

• a special maintenance project along the N17: Section 5, from Chrissiesmeer to 85 km within the Msukaligwa and Chief Albert Luthuli local municipalities respectively.

• an upgrade project along the R573: Section 2, between Kwaggafontein and Vlaglaagte within the Thembisile Hani local municipality.

There will also be conventional projects awarded in 2022 that include the N11: Section 9, from the Hendrina power station to the N4, in Middelburg; and the resurfacing of the N12: Sections 19 and 20, from Delmas to Orgies.

Potential Job Creation
The projects will benefit the community through the creation of jobs and local SMMEs an opportunity to participate in the project.

Planned Start/End Date
The special maintenance project along the N17: Section 5 is expected to be completed by the end of March 2023.

The upgrade project along the R573: Section 2 is scheduled for the end of February 2024.
