Mount Emerald wind farm project.

The project will be built on private land on the plateau adjacent to the Mt Emerald/ Springmount area, in Australia.

Client
Port Bajool and Ratch Australia partnership.

Project Description
The project proposes to build up to 63 wind turbines (depending on site suitability), generating up to 225 MW of power from this site. Towers will be about 80 m to 90 m high, with blades 50 m long, using turbines of about 3 MW each.

Duration
Subject to final approvals, the project is scheduled to be completed by late 2018.

Latest Developments
AECOM has been appointed as owner’s engineer for the project. The company will assist in managing technical compliance requirements, key risks and challenges during the different phases of the project.
