The project entails the construction of a 993 MW power station.
The plant will be one of the cleanest running units in Entergy’s fleet and will feature state-of-the-art emissions control technology that will lower emissions – compared with the existing fleet – using high-efficiency, combined-cycle natural gas turbines.
Potential Job Creation
The project will create 750 on-site construction jobs and 25 permanent jobs.

The project is estimated at $937.3-million.
Duration
The power plant is expected to become operational in 2021.

Entergy Texas has selected two Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) gas turbine generation units for the project.
