What is the ISO 19650?

The ISO 19650 standard is an international standard for managing information over the whole life cycle of a built asset using building information modelling (BIM). The SABS recently published the ISO 19650 Organization and digitisation of information about buildings and civil engineering works, including BIM - Information management using building information modelling - Part 1: Concepts and principles.

The standard is aligned to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industries. It features a framework/workflow that enables BIM practitioners such as Modena AEC to follow an 8-step workflow to ensure standardised information management of BIM tools and processes and remove the complexity associated with BIM on your projects.
