PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Nickel miner Mincor Resources has announced the succession of its MD David Moore, who will switch to a non-executive role after 16 years at the helm of the company.

Moore will move to the position of deputy chairperson from March 1. However, he will remain actively involved in the company, but will step down from the day-to-day management of the company.

Current COO Peter Muccil will be appointed as CEO effective from February 1.

Muccil is a geologist with operational experience in nickel, gold, zinc and lead, and joined Mincor in 2004 as chief mine geologist. He later became the company’s exploration manager for nickel.

Earlier this year Muccil was appointed as COO.
