Mila Resources finds meaningful gold intercepts on Yarrol in Australia
London-listed Mila Resources has returned the highest grade gold intercept recorded on its Yarrol project, in Queensland, Australia, to date.
New results from its first quarter reverse circulation drill campaign found gold grading 112 g/t over one meter.
Other notable intercepts include four meters of gold grading 29.4 g/t from eight meters; nine meters of gold grading 2.48 g/t from 31 m; and seven meters of gold grading 1 g/t from 17 m.
The drillholes overall confirm high grade mineralisation in the southernmost positions drilled to date at Yarrol North Target.
The results also confirm extensions of shallow gold mineralisation further to the north and continuity of mineralisation to the west that was not included in the historic resource.
Mila advises that further results from infill and step-out holes completed as part of the first quarter drill programme are pending and will be reported in due course.
Multi-element geochemical assays are being used to refine the company’s structural interpretation of the Yarrol system and to inform targets for next phases of drilling.
Mila is working towards publishing a maiden mineral resource estimate on Yarrol.
Executive chairperson Mark Stephenson says the results show notable high grade intercepts, with each one helping the company to build tonnage and tighten the geological picture.
“What is emerging is a pattern of repeating structures hosting high-grade shoots, suggesting a more continuous and robust mineralised system than was ever previously understood. We are now moving beyond isolated results and toward the building a meaningful and economic gold resource in a proven gold district. Following our recent capital raise we will be continuing to fast track the development of this project.”
