Name and Location
Mbalawala coal project, Tanzania.

Project Description
The Mbalawala block covers an area of about 154,8 km2 and is located within the Ngaka coalfield in the south-western region of Tanzania. The project has a declared maiden Joint Ore Reserves Committee resource of 40-million tons.

The project will see the construction of an openpit mine, with a production rate of around 1,5-million tons a year for an average 25-year mine life, without additional exploration. There is high potential to increase the proven reserve component of the measured resource in both opencut and underground mining areas by continued mine development planning.
