The two-day “MAPLAN Days of Technology 2014” is a forum of experts for elastomer technology
The rubber specialist MAPLAN is currently preparing for the two-day “MAPLAN Days of Technology” event. On June 4th and 5th customers and partners from all over the world are invited to Ternitz. The branch forum offers an overview on trends and the current state of technology in the elastomer business. Visitors can expect a mixture of lectures, machine demonstrations in the machine hall and multiple stands of partner companies.
The “MAPLAN Days of Technology 2014” will present the newest technologies in elastomer injection moulding machinery. The focus of the event will be vertical and horizontal machines with clamp forces ranging from 1.600 to 4.600kN, automation, quality and application technology. Furthermore, elastomer experts can extend their knowledge about current energy-efficient, cost- and process optimisations. In addition, customer projects with automation solutions, 2K-technology and processing of solid silicone will be shown.
Partnerships with the industry and universities
Maplan and 22 partners will present and discuss their newest technologies, through lectures and information booths. The University Leoben as well as the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) will be holding lectures. Wolfgang Meyer, CEO of MAPLAN, commented: “In a highly specialised industry such as the elastomer technology, it is extremely important to be able to have an exchange of information and ideas from experts. Our aim is to allow a broad networking as well as developing new ideas. Our expertise should reach beyond machine technology and offer information and guidance for technical application and processes challenges.” MAPLAN expects around 250 visitors from all around the world.
