Mineral Resources and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe will hold a series of engagements with traditional leaders in the Eastern Cape province during February and March to discuss the latest developments in the upstream petroleum industry.

The aim of these engagements is to provide clarity and find solutions to the challenges experienced in the development of this industry.

The first engagement will be with the AmaGcaleka Traditional Council on February 3.

This will be followed by a meeting with the AbaThembu Traditional Council on February 4.
