Name and Location
Mansa manganese project, Zambia.

Client
Kaboko Mining.

Project Description
The Mansa project licence area covers about 90 km2. A scoping study has been completed on the project and includes an indicative high-grade manganese resource estimate and mine plan for operations based on an initial seven-year mine plan.

The completion of the mine plan is critical to the operating programme and pit design and enables Kaboko to increase efficiency and productivity at the project. The scoping study focused on the known mineralisation area, which represents less than 2% of the total Mansa project area, emphasising the significant exploration potential of the project.

Latest Developments
The scoping study confirms that the budgeted costs for production and logistics at the project are in line with Kaboko’s expectations, with the cost of delivering a China market price of import manganese product from the project estimated at between $190/t and $210/t.

The study provides the foundations for a Joint Ore Reserves Committee- (Jorc-) compliant resource statement at the Mansa project, which will be completed following a further exploration programme to drill about 24 holes, targeting the extension of the existing mineralisation zone this quarter.

Kaboko aims to confirm the indicative high-grade manganese resource identified in the scoping study and to increase the potential resource to establish a Jorc-compliant resource for the project. The company considers the project to have significant exploration upside and intends to continue with exploration and resource-definition activities, together with the ongoing operational activities currently under way to achieve first production this quarter.
