A range of new generation longspan shelves featuring improved versatility and a large selection of accessories, is now available to the Southern African market.

South African intra-logistical supplier Logistics Systems Engineering (LSE) has introduced the Constructor range of Longspan Shelving 3 (LS3) that offers enhanced system flexibility for light duty storage requirements.

The system can be adjusted as customers’ product profiles change, making LSE’s LS3 suitable for use across numerous locations and industries. The shelving solution is designed to be easy to dismantle, adjust and reinstall. The shelves can be used for storing a variety of goods, from heavy loads, boxes and cartons, to files and loose articles or any manually loaded items.

The system’s expandability means it can meet customers’ growing needs, with the aim of reducing shelf lifetime costs and providing a higher return on investment. The range is manufactured in Europe under EN norms, giving LSE greater control over production, quality and consistency. The company emphasises that its dedicated in-house quality control centre regularly subjects components to stringent quality control tests, using state-of-the-art technology and highly trained technicians.

The company asserts that the shelving range is economical, strong, durable and versatile and highlights a number of additional benefits, such as:

  • High storage density with minimal lost space ensures efficient storage for large or awkward items
  • Ideal for storing manually loaded, bulky or long items
  • Long beam lengths provide optimal flexibility and fit, while also offering shorter lengths to enable the systems to fit into tight spaces
  • Open frame design means shelving can be loaded from the front and back, optimising access, reducing the amount of lost space and facilitating quick and easy turnaround of stored items
  • Cost effective – longer beams require fewer frames
  • Easy to assemble, adjust and expand – ensures complete flexibility
  • Stepped beams as standard – facilitates maximum vertical clearance with minimal risk of snagging
  • Dividers, mesh shelves, tubular beams and an extensive range of accessories help tailor the system to specific operational requirements
  • Beams can be up to 3 m long, with a choice of chipboard, pine, steel or wire mesh shelving
  • Shelving frames are braced and bolted for strength and reliability, while the foot and levelling plates allow for shelving systems to adapt to uneven surfaces
  • Upright covers allow the system to be used as a low system or work benches, which prevents product snagging
  • Fully adjustable beams mean the LS3 range accommodates future product changes, providing additional flexibility

The system can be easily dismantled, reinstalled and adjusted, allowing for the potential to adapt and grow in line with customers’ needs, reducing shelving lifetime costs and providing a potentially higher return on investment

LSE is the exclusive distributor of Gonvarri Material Handling brands, including the Constructor range, and supplies warehouse storage solutions across sub-Saharan Africa.
