Company Announcement - Reflecting the group’s unwavering commitment to safety, Liviero Building took top honours in two categories at this year’s Master Builders’ Association National Safety Awards. In Category F, for projects between R75 and R150 million, Liviero’s Mangosutho University of Technology site won first place. “This is a tough category, and we edged out stiff competition from other contractors,” notes Liviero Group CEO Neil Cloete. Liviero is building new student accommodation at the university, which is situated on the outskirts of Durban.

In Category G, for contracts between R150 and R300 million, Liviero’s IMA (Islamic Medical Association) Hospital project in Sherwood, Durban, beat equally tough competition to take first place, he reveals. Liviero’s contract to build this new multi-storey private hospital is scheduled for completion in the latter part of 2015.

Cloete says that it was an exceptional team effort by Liviero Building staff and executives that led to the group’s success in bringing home these awards. “We won’t be resting on our laurels, however, and we will continue our constant drive to ensure that safety is a top priority and our LIFE (Liviero Incident Free Environment) safety motto shapes all our business activities.”
