Mitsubishi Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group, and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line).

Project Description
Mitsubishi Shipbuilding and NYK Line have agreed to jointly develop a large-scale LCO2 carrier.

LCO2 carriers are expected to play a vital role in the carbon capture, utilisation and storage value chain by transporting LCO2 to storage sites and facilities.

The project is expected to make a significant contribution to the establishment of a CO2 ecosystem in the CO2 transport sector, an area where demand is expected to increase in the future.
