Project Description
Lily is Enel’s first utility-scale hybrid solar + storage project in North America.
The project comprises a 146 MWac photovoltaic (PV) facility paired with a 50 MWac battery.
Lily’s 421 400 PV bifacial panels are expected to generate more than 367 GWh/y, which will be delivered to the grid and will charge the co-located battery, equivalent to avoiding the emission of more than 242 000 /y of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
The battery storage system is capable of storing up to 75 MWh, to be dispatched when solar power generation is low, while providing access for the grid to a clean supply of electricity during periods of high demand.
