Client
Chevron Overseas Congo, a subsidiary of the Chevron Corporation, is the operator of the Lianzi field and has a 31.25% interest; along with Total (36.75%), ENI (10%); Sonangol (10%); the Republic of Congo national oil company – SNPC (7.5%); and Galp (4.5%).

Project Description
The plan is to develop the Lianzi oilfield in a unitised offshore zone between the Republic of Congo and Angola.

Located 105 km offshore in about 900 m of water, the development of the Lianzi field will involve a tieback to the existing Benguela Belize Lobito Tomboco (BBLT) platform located in Angola Block 14. It will include a subsea production system and a 43 km electrically heated flowline – the first of its kind at this water depth – to transport oil from the field to the BBLT platform. Once completed, the project is expected to produce a maximum of 46 000 bbl of oil equivalent a day.
