Name and Location
Lagos Urban Rail Network (LURN) project, Nigeria.

Client
Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (Lamata).

Project Description
The LURN is a network of urban rail-based systems covering seven major corridors of high commuter traffic demand within and beyond Lagos, extending to border areas like Ogun and Oyo.

The seven lines link the major population and activity centres in the state and takes advantage, where possible, of existing transport corridors.

The network is fully integrated with planned and existing water transport and bus rapid transit routes.

These lines include the Blue Line from Okokomaiko to Marina and the Red Line from Agbado to Marina through Iddo and Muritala Mohammed International Airport.

These two Lines are priority routes, which are already at advanced stages of development.

Other routes for development are the Green Line from Marina to Lekki-Epe Airport; the Yellow Line, from Otta to Iddo; the Purple Line, from Redeem to Ojo; the Orange Line, from Redeem to Marina; and the Brown Line, from Mile 12 to Marina.

The network is fully integrated, with planned and existing water transport and bus rapid transit routes.
